We have some pretty big news over here at Ticket Alternative HQ. His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, Tenzin Gyatso, will be coming to Atlanta fora series of lectures at Emory University. WSBTV just reported on the upcoming event:
ATLANTA — The Dalai Lama
is returning to Emory University this fall to hold lectures and work with faculty.Emory officials said the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader will be on the Atlanta campus Oct. 17-19. Tickets for the events go on sale Friday.The Dalai Lama is a presidential distinguished professor at Emory — the only university appointment accepted by the 1989 Nobel Peace Laureate. He last visited campus in 2007 for a weekend-long symposium at Emory and a public talk at a downtown Atlanta park.Faculty and students from Emory travel each year to the Dalai Lama’s home of Dharamsala, India, to work with monks and nuns.
