It’s a busy weekend here at Ticket Alternative! With summer concerts getting geared up, there is plenty of cool shows to choose from, all the way from old school rockers to the new indie kids on the block. Here are some cool shows we think you should check out.

An inter-dimensional burlesque adventure through the universe of Doctor Who. Featuring out-of-this-world burlesque from the always surprising Reverend Valentine, Candy del Rio, and Eerie Twilight, plus sideshow by Mab Just Mab, and introducing erotic stage kitten Gaia Phoenix.

The Dancing Outlaw known as Jesco White will be kicking up a country storm at Smith’s Olde Bar on Friday night.

For every little girl who wants to grow up to be like Marilyn Monroe, BEWARE! This shows the nitty gritty side of the Hollywood Starlet.
Saturday April 28 – Good Old War with Belle Brigade at Black Cat
Good Old War just released their third full length record Come Back As Rain on March 6th of this year. Absolute Punk gave the record an 8 out of 10 rating while praising the trio’s ability to use their vocals as an instrument.
Saturday April 28 – Grouplove w/ Company of Thieves at Revolution Music Room
Indie rockers, Grouplove have been climbing the charts with their catchy hooks. Catch them with indie bookish darlings, Company of Thieves.
Saturday April 28 – Dreams So Real at Smith’s Olde Bar
Old school Georgia indie music fans will be giddy beyond belief this weekend, when Athens’ college rock legends Dreams So Real play Smith’s Olde Bar.
Saturday April 28 – Ronnda Cadle w/ Will Ackerman at Eddie’s Attic
As a solo guitar instrumentalist, Ronnda Cadle is known for the melodic hooks she coaxes from her guitar. She has shared the stage with many other well-known musicians including Sarah Bettens, Al Petteway, Patty Larkin, and 2003 American Music Award Winner, Moe Loughran.
Sunday April 29 – Dick Dale at The Earl
Another rock ‘n’ roll legend, the guitarist’s guitarist, Dick Dale plays a special non-smoking (hurrah!) show at The EARL on Sunday. What a perfect way to round off your weekend.
