Well it has been a very busy week here at Ticket Alternative, but that hasn’t stopped us from continuing to put together some amazing shows for you this weekend! Have a great weekend everyone!

Friday August 17th – John Driskell Hopkins at Swallow at the Hollow

John Driskell Hopkins of country music sensations the Zac Brown Band, will be making a rare solo appearance in Georgia this weekend.

Friday August 17th – The Oak Ridge Boys at Mill Town Music Hall

Their string of hits includes the pop chart-topper Elvira, as well as Bobbie Sue, Dream On, Thank God For Kids, American Made, I Guess It Never Hurts To Hurt Sometimes, Fancy Free, Gonna Take A Lot Of River and many others. See them in Bremen!

Friday August 17th – Lorelei at Black Cat

After playing together for almost 6 years, Lorelei members decided to move to different coasts, and disbanded in 1996. Following this hiatus, the members of Lorelei have found themselves back in DC and playing together again.

Saturday August 18th – Cigar Store Indians at Smith’s Olde Bar

Old school rockers Cigar Store Indians are back for a reunion tour in their home town of Atlanta!

Saturday August 18th- Jay Brannan CD Release Party at Eddie’s Attic

Singer/songwriter, Jay Brannan, is a New Yorker by way of Texas, California, and several stops in between

Saturday August 18th – Rock & Roll Hotel’s 6 Year Anniversary

With his disco/funk band Big/Bright and as a DJ, AutoRock has a long history of lighting up DC’s dance floors. He has shared the stage with Sam Sparro, Penguin Prison and The Twelves, to name a few. At MASS APPEAL, AutoRock plays a funky mix of the best house, pop, disco and hip-hop. Come prepared to sweat.

Saturday August 18th – Midnight Star at Riverdale Town Center

The City of Riverdale’s Department of Cultural Affairs & Leisure Services and Kiss 104.1 kicks off the 100 Days of SummerTastic Entertainment at the South City Concert Series Saturday, August 18th at 8pm. Performing live, Midnight Star, Cherrelle and Lenny Williams. Enjoy great live entertainment in an intimate setting at the all new Amphitheater at Riverdale Town Center.

Sunday August 19th – Joyce Manor at Black Cat

Cali punks, Joyce Manor, will be rocking it out to a full house in DC, buy in advance!

Sunday August 19th – Ezra Furman at The Red Palace

Ezra Furman started writing songs. Then he broke up with his longtime sweetie and formed a blistering rock and roll band called Ezra Furman & the Harpoons.
