In January 2012 we’ll launch our new mobile website making it even easier to buy tickets online. Here’s a quick screen shot – more details will be released as we get closer to launch date.

New Features for a New Year

As we close out another great year, we’re already looking forward to 2012 and some new features we’ll be unveiling.

2011 saw Ticket Alternative grow yet again and we’re especially proud of some of our new clients, most notably the Atlanta Botanical Garden, the Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, Eddie’s Attic, Kennesaw State University, Vermont Brewers Festival, AEG Southeast and Jannus Landing.

We’re also proud that venues like The EARL, the Rock and Roll Hotel, Juanita’s and Black Cat all renewed their partnerships with us after being heavily courted by the competition. We know the competition is buzzing (pun intended) in the small club space, and so we’re even-more enthused about those venues that renewed. It’s a testament to my amazing staff and a company backed by passion and music fans, not just millions of dollars of VC waiting for a pay day.

Among other things, Q1 2012 will see the launch of:

• our new mobile ticketing platform
• Pick-a-Seat interactive seat maps
• Deeper Facebook integration

We know that the arts facilities are really looking forward to Pick-A-Seat and the clubs love the mobile ticketing solution that ties in nicely with our custom iPhone apps (of which we now have 4!)

What We Do Wednesday: Awesome Promotion

Every now and again, we will be chatting to a possible client or even a current contact, and they’ll not know about all the wonderful abilities we have at our fingertips to help them sell tickets and have a kick-ass event. So we thought what better way to remind them than with a weekly blog post highlighting a different awesome thing we do for our clients each week? So here goes.

One of the things that sets us apart from the other ticketing companies is our amazing promotion. Our promotions director, Leila Regan-Porter (leila@ticketalternative.com), will work closely with you to get the word out about your event. We’ll utilize our localized newsletters (going out to over 300,000 opt-in subscribers), various Twitter accounts (over 25,000 followers), multiple Facebook accounts, blogs and more.

And if you’re new to the social media game, we will set you up with a Hootsuite Pro account (a dashboard that will integrate all your social media, allowing you to send, schedule and track all your social media), show you all the ins and outs of the social media world, answer any questions you might have, and more.

We’re here to help you as much or as little as you need. Whether you’re a promotions pro or a marketing newbie, we can give you all the tools to get your event out to the masses.

Here at Ticket Alternative, we consider ourselves very lucky to have such awesome venues and festivals under our umbrella, and we’re always looking for more ways to tell the world about them. Jane’s Addiction To Debut New Single “Irresistible Force” On KROQ FM, August 2

Alternative rock pioneers Jane’s Addiction will debut their official brand new single “Irresistible Force” Tuesday, August 2 on the world-famous KROQ morning radio show “The Kevin & Bean Show,” which will be available through all digital outlets August 3. The song – a swirling, moody and epic composition – is taken from the band’s much-anticipated new album THE GREAT ESCAPE ARTIST (Capitol Records). Marking the first new studio album in eight years by Perry Farrell, Dave Navarro and Stephen Perkins, it is due out Tuesday, September 29.  The album also features “End To The Lies,” a pre-single teaser track which the band made available to their fans as a free download this past April.
