Los Angeles' chariety Tap Project is hosting Tap with a Beat, to be held on March 21 at the World Peace Ikeda Auditorium in Santa Monica. The benefit concert will feature a host of celebrities performing, including Teo Olivares ("Ned's Declassified), Miki Ishikawa ("Zoey 101"), Quincy Brown "IQ," Somewhere Else (world title winners of Battle of the Bands), FREQUENCY 5 (winner of MTV2's "Circuit Breakout"), Boxcuttuhz ("America's Best Dance Crew Season 3"), with Alyson Stoner and Malese Jow.

“Tickled Pink” uses humor to raise funds for breast cancer.

October 10, 2008 Charity No Comments

Tickled_pink A lot can be accomplished with laughter.  The 2nd annual “Tickled Pink” fundraising affair for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Atlanta Affiliate will take place on October 18th at the Cobb Galleria Centre Grand Ballroom at 6:30 p.m.  The night will include a cocktail hour, silent auction, and dinner.

Entertainment will be provided by pioneering comedienne Elaine Boosler. Boosler is the first female comic to headline her own comedy special on cable television when Showtime aired “Party of One.” To date, she has headlined seven cable specials, as well as written, directed and acted in two half-hour movies: “Comedy From Here” and “The Call.”

Your hosts for the evening are B98.5FM’s Steve McCoy of the Steve & Vikki Morning Show, Jordan Graye and Kelly McCoy.

“Breast cancer is an illness that has touched nearly every American in some way,” said David Meszaros, vice president and general manager of B98.5FM. “B98.5FM is committed to providing strong community support, and we are thrilled to team up with the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Greater Atlanta Affiliate. Through comedy, this event’s contributions will go toward finding a cure.”
