Win Tickets for Kurt Vile, Fake Problems and T. Mills in Washington, D.C.!

We have some incredible ticket giveaways for you lucky TA Live readers. Check them out below, and enter to win by filling the form out at the bottom.

A mash-up of genres from bluegrass to punk rock, Oslo natives Fake Problems are going to be playing at Red Palace, August 8. Already having released two critically acclaimed full-length albums, their most recent album, Real Ghosts Caught on Tape, has won and garnered them even more notoriety.

Blending a bit of psych, pop and folk rock, Kurt Vile & The Violators ft. True Widow will be stopping by Rock and Roll Hotel, August 10. With music compared to the likes of musical legends such as Bruce Springsteen, Bill Callahan and Bob Seger and fans as noteworthy as Sonic Youth’s bassist and singer, Kim Gordon, we think it’s safe to say that Kurt Vile is doing pretty well for himself. And with his new album Smoke Ring For My Halo listed on Pitchfork’s “Best New Music” list, we’re sure to he’ll be sticking around for a while.

With humble beginnings writing his own music in his bedroom, T. Mills has been winning fans and attention across the United States after self-releasing his music on-line only to earn a leading spot as a performer at the 2009 Vans Warped Tour. Now touring after his recently released album, Leaving Home, he’ll be making a stop at DC9, August 24.

Win A Pair of Tickets to See Tech N9ne at Jannus Live on July 30!

Win A Pair of Tickets to See Tech N9ne at Jannus Live on July 30!

If you’re a fan of hip-hop, then you’ll have heard about this awesome piece of news. The Boombox reports:

Tech N9ne‘s 12th studio record, ‘All 6′s and 7′s’ debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart and No. 1 on the Rap Albums chart, after moving 55,806 units. His last effort, 2010′s ‘The Gates Mixed Plate,’ released roughly a year ago, sold only around 50,000 copies total…

Assists on the album were a departure from Tech’s usual underground roots, with more mainstream artists — Yelawolf, Busta Rhymes, T-Pain, B.o.B., E-40, Snoop Dogg, the Deftones and Lil Wayne — contributing to the new effort. But Tech’s lyrics on the album cut ‘Love Me Tomorrow’ suggest otherwise: “Tech will never go mainstream/ Mainstream will go Tech.”

Which makes for a pretty celebratory tour. The rapper is trekking around the country, and will be stopping at St. Petersburg’s Jannus Live on July 30. We have five pairs of tickets to give away. All you have to do is enter using the form below.
