As their name might suggest, The Constellations come alive at night.

Once the city begins to close down, The Constellations, eight misfits as sharp as switchblades, take over the after-hours scene. With a combination of psych-soul-funk beats and the ramblings of a madman, the Constellations have become one of most successful up-and-coming bands in 2010.

Touring all across the U.S. and U.K., and performing at almost every major music festival this year, this is a band you can’t afford to miss.

Hometown heroes (from our neck of the woods in Atlanta) The Constellations are set to take over the world this summer. They’ll be taking on a huge tour starting this month, and will be making a stop at Atlanta’s Drunken Unicorn with Hockey on March 23 and at DC9 on May 3.

Florence and the Machine is an act that has featured in this feature before, with Dizzee Rascal at The BRITS, but it seemed fair that she got her own spot, especially since her videos are so visually stunning, matching her phenomenal sound.

Many of us have been positively giddy at the release of the new Vampire Weekend record. The video for “Giving Up The Gun” cements our giddiness. The band is touring the country (most shows are sold out) and we’re selling tickets for the Official Vampire Weekend Afterparty on Saturday, April 3 at DC9, with the band’s bassist Chris Baio, who DJs simply as “BAIO,” DJing.
