Saturday October 18th, marked the first time in four years that tickets were sold to see iconic improvisational group Phish.
At the beginning of the month the band posted a special time lapse video on its website to officially announce that tickets would be sold for shows on March 6, 7, and 8 at the Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, VA. This venue holds special signifigance for the band and its ravenous fans as it was where Phish’s famed six-CD live album, Hampton Comes Alive, was recorded back in 1998. The band has often referred to the coleseum with the eye-catching diamond-like exterior as it’s "mothership."
Additional good news is that this does not appear to be a "one time only" situation. Phish is currently planning to announce additional spring tour dates at the beginning of 2009.
