We've just released tickets for 2009's Arkansas Funniest Person competition. There will be three shows in all, all at Juanita's, on April 4, April 11 and April 18. Comedians who enter will perform up to three shows. Each comedian gets five minutes in the first round, in the second round comedians get 10 minutes and the final three comedians will get 15 minutes.
The competition has a host of well-known local personalities for judges. April 4's judges include Jennifer Trafford (The Point 94.1FM), Stacie Mack (image consultant) and Michael "Doc" Davis (comedian). For April 11, Davis will be joined by Sharpe Dunaway (The Point) and Shea Stewart (Sync Magazine). The final round on April 18 will be judged by Corey Deitz (The Edge 100.3FM), Deitz's morning show co-host Jay Hamilton (The Edge 100.3FM) and Melissa Tucker (Sync Magazine). The whole event will be hosted by comedian Patrick Beam, pictured above.
