Rhode Island might be best known as the setting for just about every Farrelly brothers movie, but the smallest state in the U.S. also happens to have a pretty decent music scene. One of the bands that have emerged from that scene is folk/grunge band Deer Tick.
Set to release their third studio album The Black Dirt Sessions on June 8, Deer Tick are planning a summer tour with a stop in Washington, D.C. at the Rock and Roll Hotel on Thursday, July 22. Deer Tick have recently played or toured with Dr. Dog, Dead Confederate, Those Darlins, AA Bondy, The Felice Brothers and Neko Case, just to name a few.
