L.A post-punk trio Happy Hollows (as half their name suggests) is a happy band. HH frontwoman Sarah Negahdari has the kind of voice you wouldn’t mind waking up to early on a Monday morning; it’s soft but loud enough to get ya going. The band’s 2009 release Spells is full of gems reminiscent of an early 90’s college alternative band who have been practicing in a garage for the past two decades. They’ve got the songs, now they’re ready to make some noise.
