Eddies Attic and many of the Atlanta-area venues are known for their generosity and support of the local community. It always feels nice to give back to friends and family in the community, but when a benefit is tied to music and fun it certainly grabs our attention!
On Sunday, June 24th, Eddie’s Attic is partnering with A New Life Transplant Organization for their 2nd Annual Benefit. This year, the focus and support is on Georgia native, Andrea Johnson. This brave woman is a single mother of three children, who has always put the needs of others before her own. Three years ago, Andrea was diagnosed with Stage IV Hepatitis C/End Stage Liver Disease after going in for a routine round of blood work. Right now, she is relying solely on medical intervention to keep her alive, which costs as much as $30,000 per year. Ms. Johnson is unable to work, making it impossible for her to afford the transplant herself, which comes with follow up costs of about $60,000 annually.
The event will be held at Eddie’s Attic from 1PM-8PM on June 24th, and a $20 donation will give you all day access to delicious foods, extraordinary music, and a great silent auction. Kids ten and under are free and Eddie’s plans to entertain them with great kid-friendly activities. Throughout the day, Eddie’s Attic will feature a variety of artists such as Keena Graham, Earl Whitington, The Mike Veal Band, and Tom Grose. It sounds like a pretty awesome way to spend your Sunday! Give back and have a great time. We wish the best for Ms. Johnson and we hope she is on the road to a speedy recovery.
