“Smart metal.” That’s how I’ve heard this band described. The Sword hails from Austin, TX and theirs is not the cliché, pandering machismo metal you may have heard before. They toured with Metallica three years ago, and released a new album, Apocryphon, last month on Razor & Tie and are currently touring in support of the album. They play Rock And Roll Hotel on Saturday, and we caught up with guitarist Kyle Shutt for our 5GB series.
