Events To End The World With Friday, Dec. 21st

By: Shelby Lum

For anyone who hasn’t yet heard, the Mayans and their calender have predicted a pretty grim situation for us on Friday, December 21, 2012.  Whether you think it may be earthquakes, tsunamis, or nothing at all, there are events for everyone for The End.

End of the World Party at Black Cat

For a reasonable price of $10 (not that it really matters), Black Cat is bringing in the A.K.’s, The Max Levine Ensemble, the Shirks, and Booze Riot.  The A.K.’s, a punk/thrash band, will be the energy you need right up until the very end.

End of the World Party at Kramer’s

The well-known Atlanta bar is graciously agreeing to give a full refund if the world actually does end.  If not, bring your receipt and you will get $2 back instead!

The Revels with Death on Two Wheels at Vinyl

This one is actually a Christmas show, but it still falls on the 21st.  The Revels, Atlanta rock band, will be at Vinyl along with Death on Two Wheels this Friday.  Barely a year old, these new comers have been touring and making an impact all over the southeast.  Joining them is Death on Two Wheels, another 5-piece band out of Atlanta.

THE END IS NOW: Atlanta’s Apocalyptic Celebration at The Basement at Graveyard Tavern

This event gets you into both floors: The Basement and Graveyard Tavern.  In the latter will be four DJs, and in The Basement will be Wizard Smoke, Lazer/Wulf, and Degradations.  For anyone who is 21 and over, head to Graveyard Tavern for your Friday plans.
