The Amazing recorded their LP in Stockholm, Sweden, and plotted their path in this incredible unison. There are countless stories to be told, including playing a show for the Swedish Royal Family and Pink Floyd, where audience member Roger Waters appreciatively caught a bouquet thrown by the band during a standing ovation. This mysterious band holds one principle dear to their hearts: “The music speaks for itself.” THey joined us for our 5GB series before their show.
What’s the first gig you ever attended?
Kiss, in Stockholm when I was a kid. Awful, of course haha.
What is the best gig that you ever played/performed?
We played in San Francisco, at the Fillmore, with Tame Impala recently. I think that went down quite well.
What is the best gig you have ever seen?
Tindersticks at Roskilde Festival in Denmark. It was around 1:30 am. Fantastic.
What is the gig you would most like to play?
Henry Miller Library, Big Sur.
What would be the lineup for your dream gig?
Caroline Polachek, Mark Lightcap, Milford Graves, Reg King and Mark Kozelek. They would probably hate each other and get nothing done.
