Atlanta Jewish Film Festival, January 30th – February 20th, Tickets On Sale Now!

The Atlanta Jewish Film Festival is gearing up to debut and screen some of the best new films and we’re more than thrilled that they chose to partner with Ticket Alternative again! This year, the Festival begins on January 30th and runs through February 20th with over 70 films and 125 screenings.

The 2013 AJFF will take place at a host of venues across the metro Atlanta area
: six theaters in all. In-town audiences will be served by two theaters: Regal Cinemas Atlantic Station Stadium 16 & United Artists Tara Cinemas 4, with another venue in Sandy Springs: Lefont Sandy Springs, one in the North Metro communities: United Artists North Point Market 8, and another in East Cobb: Georgia Theatre Company Merchants Walk. And of course, the Opening Night celebration will take place at the gleaming, modern facilities of the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

Founded in 2000, AJFF ranks as the largest film festival in Atlanta, and second largest Jewish film festival in the United States, having attracted an audience of more than 30,000 moviegoers in 2012.

The buzz is out and some of the most-talked about films include:

Broadway Musicals: A Jewish Legacy– A terrifically entertaining smorgasbord of show tunes and superstars of the Great White Way. Genre: Documentary. Run time: 90 min.

Lore– A Nazi-indoctrinated teen is suddenly confronted with the realities of survival and her own hateful ideology. Genre: Narrative. Run time: 108 min.

My Awkward Sexual Adventure– A nebbishy accountant seeks help from a stripper to win back his unsatisfied ex-girlfriend. Genre: Narrative. Run time: 98 min.

Paris-Manhattan– A loveless thirty-something’s obsession with Woody Allen is put to the test in this romantic comedy. Genre: Narrative. Run time: 78 min.

Simon and the Oaks– Picturesque coming-of-age WWII epic nominated for a record 13 Swedish Academy Awards. Genre: Narrative. Run time: 122 min.

Süskind– Gripping true story of a Jewish industrialist who saved hundreds of Dutch children from the death camps. Genre: Narrative. Run time: 118 min.
