DC local band, Naylor Court is a five part alternative rock band that has a little something for everyone. Many fans liken guitarist, John Ray’s heartfelt vocals and Alex Hervish’s sweeping violin lines to those of Wilco. Ben Folds fans, rejoice: Ben Richman’s keyboards caress and bring out the subtleties of the song. And finally, rock lovers and fellow musicians alike will be amazed by the stellar rhythmic talents of bassist Aaron Miller and drummer Sebastian “Sebas” Restifo.
You may have seen the group performing around the D.C. area. They’ve made played local favorite hangoutes like Jammin Java and Wonderland Ballroom, as well as larger music venues like Velvet Lounge and the Red Palace. Their most impressive performance was a sold-out show at the Velvet Lounge in January, drawing upwards of 200 people to the gig.They have also taken their show on the road, making appearances in Philadelphia and NYC’s Bowery Electric.
Naylor Court released their EP in 2012 and will offer fans merchandise and brand-new covers on their upcoming tour. In the meantime fans can listen to their music and watch clips of their live shows on Facebook.
