Known for layering their music with layers of sound and loops, East Ghost will be at Rock & Roll Hotel.  Joining them is Koshari.

Friday, February 22nd-Parquet Courts with Roomrunner at Black Cat

Parquet Courts album Light Up Gold was given an 8 on Pitchfork, which really speaks for itself.  They are post punk and indie rock all at once.  Their album What’s Your Rupture was originally released in 2008, but they just reissued it this year.  The band has been gaining recognition in both the underground music scene as well as in mainstream indie rock.

Since its beginning in 2008, Holy Ghost Tent Revival has been shown crowds what honest song writing really looks like, and has continued to make earnest music.  These rockers will be joined by Megan Jean and the KFB.

Snowden has opened for huge names like Arcade Fire and Kings of Leon.  They may not have released an album in a few years, but that has given the band plenty of time to perfect their existing repertoire for a night of experienced music. Also, who couldn’t love a band who chose a name based off of Catch-22? I can’t resist.

It’s here! The weekend where you can eat record amounts of oysters while listening to great music is finally upon us.  You can get buckets of oysters and as much lobster bisque as you can hold.  Several musicians will be there to entertain while you enjoy the endless oysters including Treedom, Neil Cribbs, and Southside of the Tracks.
