Today Is The Day is an American noisecore band from Nashville, Tennessee. Today Is The Day has a diverse sound that includes influences from alternative rock, grindcore, and progressive rock. With lyrical themes including extreme violence, altered states of consciousness, personal struggles, depression, warfare and mental problems such as psychosis, Today Is The Day has a little bit of something that everyone can relate to.
Founded in 1992 by front man Steve Austin and drummer Brad Elrod, Today Is The Day has released nine full length studio albums and five EPs and singles over the course of their career. Although there have been members taken away and new ones added and a label change, Today Is The Day has endured trials and tribulations to remain one of the country’s hardest metal acts out there.
Today Is The Day will be at Rock & Roll Hotel on Saturday March 9 playing with Black Tusk. Doors are at 8p.m., show at 9p.m. and tickets are only $15.
