How would you like to spend a weekend on a beautiful, 100-acre farm in southeast Georgia listening to grass roots music with your closest family and friends? We thought you’d be stoked! Hoopee Jam 3 on Friday May 3rd and Saturday the 4th, 2013, is the third running of the Hoopee Jam, a two-day grass roots music festival on a 100-acre private farm in Norristown in southeast Georgia. Best part? It’s BYOB! That’s right! Bring your family, your friends, your blankets and your beer! This is going to be a rockin’ time!
Gates open Thursday, May 2nd at 4:00 p.m. for patrons who desire to arrive early and set up camp. An open acoustic jam will be held Thursday night. Gates open Friday, May 3rd at 2:00 p.m. for the weekend.
Performers for Hoopee Jam 3 include Mike Farris, Wet Willie, Col. Bruce Hampton, Jeff Sipe Trio, Randall Bramblett Band, Tommy Talton Band, Kettle of Fish featuring Berry Duane Oakley and Sonny Moorman, Diane Durrett & Soul Suga’, Ralph Roddenbery, Lil Al’s Musical Project, Lingo, Bo Henry Band, Freddy’s Finest, Bad Brad & the Sipsey Slims and Neal Lucas Band.
Weekend passes are $60 from March 1 – May 2 and $70 at the gate for two days of music, free primitive camping Thursday through Sunday night, food and art vendors, tours by Georgia Department of Natural Resources of the Ohoopee Dunes Natural Area adjacent to the festival grounds, and more! A portion of the proceeds this year will be donated to two local charities in Emanuel County providing assistance for needy families, as well as the Ohoopee Dunes Natural Area.
