We are right in the middle of “The Mother of All Beer Weeks,” American Craft Beer Week. Each May, participants celebrate small and independent breweries, holding events in all 50 states. These advocates of beer culture have been showing their support since 2006, when even the US House of Representatives got behind the movement, passing a resolution creating and supporting ACBW. The brainchild of the Brewer’s Association, the annual celebration even boasts it’s own Declaration of Beer Independence. “I declare the beer I choose to enjoy is not a commodity, but more importantly an artistic creation of living liquid history made from passionate innovators,” reads the first sentence.
Declare your independence and stay in the spirit all year by participating in some of these fantastic events!
