Friday, November 29 – Ellis Paul @ Eddie’s Attic

Ellis Paul is one of the leading voices in American songwriting and one of the top songwriters to emerge out of the fertile Boston folk scene. Though he remains among the most pop-friendly of today’s singer-songwriters, he has bridged the gulf between the modern folk sound and the populist traditions of Woody Guthrie and Pete Seeger more successfully than perhaps any of his songwriting peers.

Friday, November 29 – The Mad Violinist & the Symphony Crack Orchestra @ Vinyl

Trained from an early age in strings and percussion and having a mastery of music theory, Ashanti Floyd is considered a “melodic, rhythmic genius”. While being a five time Grammy nominated violinist, composer, producer & multi-instrumentalist of 30 instruments, Ashanti is also part time violinist for double platinum recording artist Lupe Fiasco.

Friday, November 29 – The Gifts of the Magi @ The Balzer Theater at Herren’s 

Get in the holiday spirit this weekend with a classic Christmas musical based on the stories of O. Henry. Jim and Della are out of work and penniless during Christmas in New York. To afford presents for each other, both secretly part with their most precious possessions. In this classic holiday story, the two lovers’ gesture of giving creates a warm and intimate Christmas in the cold, unfriendly city. Set to the music of Randy Courts, this charming and transcendent musical will kindle the spirit of Christmas in the heart of Atlanta.

Kristian Bush is a Grammy Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist who started his career with folk rock duo Billy Pilgrim in the early ’90s.
