What’s better than a nice glass of wine on a crisp Fall day? This week’s fall favorite is the Roswell Wine Festival on October 5th. Held in Downtown Historic Roswell, the Wine Festival will take place from 2pm until 5pm.
Beginners and wine enthusiasts alike will have the opportunity to try numerous types of wines from more than twenty different sponsors. Attendees will receive tastings at all participating restaurants and a commemorative wine glass.
We love this event because you have the opportunity to attend a Wine Tasting 101 prior to the festival if you want some extra knowledge. From 12:30 until 2pm two of the best sommeliers around, Dan Pernice of Osteria Mattone and Philip Cooper from Vin 25 will be explaining a selection different wines at Vin 25. Or for the more refined palate, you can attend the advanced knowledge session on Saturday from 2-4pm (they day before the festival). Dan and Phillip will be sharing a selection of about six premium wines with connoisseurs of flavor at Osteria Mattone.
Tickets for just the festival are $40. For just the Knowledge Session 101 the price is $35, and the combination session and festival ticket is $65. The Advanced Knowledge Session ticket is $70 alone, and $90 with festival entrance. The event will benefit the Roswell Fine Arts Alliance.
