TA Live: How long have you worked for Ticket Alternative and what has changed the most since you started?
I have worked at Ticket Alternative for almost 2 years. The thing that has changed the most would have to be the size of the company and the introduction of our new product, Freshtix; we have so many new staff members that add pockets of fresh air to the office.
TA Live: Describe a typical day for you at TA.
I start my day off with a cup of coffee and I begin print queue (that’s the process of printing customer’s order who have selected to have their tickets delivered US Mail) before taking phone calls in the Call Center.
TA Live: What do you enjoy most about your job?
I definitely enjoy helping out our customers who call in by phone and giving them as much of an idea as possible about how the venue/event space they are interested in seeing will be.
TA Live: What 5 musicians/bands are you currently obsessed with?
Azealia Banks (whose sampling introduced me to my next obsession ->) Lone, Los Amigos Invisibles, Shannon and the Clams, Gigamesh
TA Live: When you’re not at work, how do you like to spend your time?
I enjoy bike riding and anything outdoors related, and I also enjoy cooking (I am Venezuelan so I like trying out recipes from my home country). I also enjoy watching foreign language films on the Netflix.
TA Live: What’s the best show you’ve seen recently?
The best show I have been to this year was actually waaaaaaay back in March. I traveled to Nashville, Tennessee to see Cut Copy at Marathon Music Works and the show was brilliant; the space they played in took me back in time. They brought out all of my personal favorite songs by them and it was an incredible show. Recently? I would have to say Yelle at the Loft. They were very energetic and have a lot of stage presence; the lighting they used went along perfectly with their sound and the way they engaged the crowd – encouraging everyone to dance – was maginifique.
TA Live: If you could be anyone else for one day, who would you be and why?
I would have to be Anthony Bourdain so I could travel the world, get paid to cuss on TV and try delicious foods from all over the USA and the world.
TA Live: What’s something that makes you unique?
I can blow bubbles with my tongue.
