The Classic Center Cultural Foundation has just launched a new member group with fantastic benefits geared toward music lovers. It is called the 501 Club and will focus on the concerts that are held in the Classic Center theatre.
“All proceeds of the club will benefit the Foundation’s mission, while offering members VIP priority at select shows in the Theatre,” said Meredith Metcalf, director of the Foundation, “This is a new approach to reach a different demographic and make sure this audience is aware of what all goes on at The Classic Center.”
The mission of the Foundation is to provide resources that will entertain and educate the local community through the diverse performing, visual and culinary arts programs, along with maintaining The Classic Center in a top-notch condition. The Foundation also awards scholarships to local students in the Athens community, invests in public art for The Classic Center, and awards grants to allow local groups to hold events at the center.
There will be many new benefits to being a member of the 501 Club that have not previously been offered. A few examples are advance notice of shows before the tickets go on sale to the public, exclusive cocktail receptions before select concerts, and priority access to artist meet-and-greets should they be available. Club members will also have access to the private club bar offered during select shows, which means avoiding long bar lines at a show. There will also be happy hour networking opportunities, bus trips to The Fox Theatre and much more!
The 501 Club’s debut will be prior to the Old Crow Medicine show next Thursday, Nov. 20 at The Classic Center beginning at 6pm.
Membership levels range from $150 – $1,000. For more information on the 501 Club, please visit their website.
