Atlanta Rhythm Section
Eddie’s Attic – Atlanta, GA
Formed from the cream of Atlanta’s studio musicians, the Atlanta Rhythm Section (actually hailing from nearby Doraville, Georgia) came together in 1970 after working on a Roy Orbison recording session.
Tickets are $35 advance, $42 day of show. Two shows: at 6pm and 8:30pm.
Lisa Kelly’s Celtic Christmas
Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater – Peachtree City, GA
The Fred Amphitheater and Kelly Porter Productions are joining forces to bring another special concert to Peachtree City on Saturday, December 13, 2014 . The concert will feature former Celtic Woman, Lisa Kelly, along with special guests, as they bring a bit of Ireland to Peachtree City’s 2,500 seat outdoor Amphitheater.
Tickets range from $35 for lawn to $390 per table (6 seats). Gates open at 3pm.
Hawks w/ The Powder Room
The EARL – Atlanta, GA
Local Atlanta band Hawks have made a respected art of designed carelessness, all rusted strings and chugging groove, honing what has become a finely out-of-tuned craft following in the traditions of labels like Touch and Go, Amrep and Trance Syndicate.
Tickets are $7. Doors open at 9:30pm.
Trampled By Turtles, feat. Nikki Lane
Jannus Live – St. Petersburg, FL
Progressive bluegrass band Trampled by Turtles are from Duluth, Minnesota, where frontman Dave Simonett initially formed the group as a side project in 2003. Within the contained music scene of Duluth, the members of the band did their own time in punk and rock bands, brandishing their electricity proudly before switching to acoustic instruments. While they never set out to be a “bluegrass” band, Trampled by Turtles employs many of the same traditional techniques of the genre, but their differences in influences, attitude and attack make for their unique sound.
Tickets are $19 advance, $23 day of show. Show is at 9pm.

The Loft – Atlanta, GA
Seamlessly blending genres while refusing to be limited by the “neo-soul” tag, the eloquent singer/songwriter completed her first release Closer in 2001 and never looked back. Embraced from the beginning by critics and fans alike, Goapele craved the perfect niche for herself as she created music that fused jazz, soul and hip-hop with her own beautiful poetry.
