Treat dear old Dad to a day of history and hops at a special Father’s Day edition of Oakland Cemetery’s popular guided walking tour, Malts & Vaults: Where Beer Meets History, on Sunday, June 19 at 5:00 p.m. The hour-long tour is available with advance ticketing only and spaces are limited.
Tours will leave from the Bell Tower. Stick around after the tour for a complimentary sampling of local beer selections, courtesy of My Friend’s Growler Shop. The tasting is for adults 21+ with valid I.D.
Ron Smith and Mary O. Boyle, authors of Atlanta Beer: A Heady History of Brewing in the Hub of the South and Prohibition in Atlanta, will be on hand to sign copies of their books. All ticket holders will enjoy a 10 percent discount on these books and other selected items in the Museum Shop.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO:
- Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the start of the tour to check-in. Tour check-in will be located outside Oakland’s Bell Tower. Don’t forget your I.D. if you wish to participate in the complimentary sampling from My Friend’s Growler Shop.
- Parking inside the cemetery is limited, so please consider parking in the lot outside of Oakland’s front gate or on surrounding side streets.

Historic Oakland Foundation members: $6 - Historic Oakland Foundation membership will be verified prior to tour.
